The Hack The BMW I-BUS Yahoo group is possibly the most active forum on the internet for discussion about the BMW I-Bus, which is used for infotainment in modern BMW cars.

The group focuses on how non-OEM electronics, such as a PC, can be connected the the I-Bus in order to better integrate with the OEM electronics such as a multi-function steering wheel. This is an example of a typical I-Bus hack.

You are invited to read more about hackers in general if you are surprised by our use of the term "hacking."

While Yahoo groups offer a mailing list and some wiki-like features, some members on the mailing list prefer gathering information outside the Yahoo network to make it more accessible. Peter Stuge is hosting this wiki so that anyone can contribute and collect helpful information they may have.
