EWS is an abbrevation for the german word "Elektronische WegfahrSperre" which means electronic immobiliser.


When key is inserted into the ignition lock these messages are sent

44 05 BF 74 04 xx CS // in
Where "xx" means the number of the key inserted (01 for the first key for example)

44 05 BF 74 00 FF 75 // out
